i disagree w @jessepollak on this. Words have to mean something. Diluting a word’s meaning isn’t helpful. If we wanna talk about all network participants, we can have a word for that

a new insight I've had from the last few months: traders are builders too. 

traders build the capital supply that enables innovation and provide leverage that helps builders go viral through price discovery. 

I'm sorry I didn't fully grok this sooner - traders are builders too.

this part of crypto has internalized ‘builder’ = good and ‘trader’ = bad so it now has to speak in those terms in order or be legible, even if it’s trying to subvert that narrative

i think it's also related to long term games (builders) vs short term ones (traders)

ofc it's not black and white, but i do believe most builders are in it for longer games wrt most traders
