i disagree w @jessepollak on this. Words have to mean something. Diluting a wordā€™s meaning isnā€™t helpful. If we wanna talk about all network participants, we can have a word for that https://x.com/jessepollak/status/1870532048802447648?s=46

this part of crypto has internalized ā€˜builderā€™ = good and ā€˜traderā€™ = bad so it now has to speak in those terms in order or be legible, even if itā€™s trying to subvert that narrative

i think it's also related to long term games (builders) vs short term ones (traders) ofc it's not black and white, but i do believe most builders are in it for longer games wrt most traders

I don't think that people in crypto are thinking traders are bad, basically, you cannot be on crypto without doing a trade technically, we are all traders*... not builders.. following base vocabulary, they could use the word "contributors" to name all of us, network contributors, or create a new word for that if want to adopt everyone.. everyone should be accepted.. the problem with some traders mindset.. is to fall in the "crypto is only speculation" tag.. this will fade all the real builders work.. those who build interesting apps to attract everyone.. all chains, contracts, wallets, tokens have being built by someone.. and ofc.. some others invested there.. yeah, the high flows of capital attract people.. this is what is happening with solana.. and it was not happening in the past.. but casinos have high flows of capital too.. and cities like las vegas exists in the same world like the vatican.. and the full spectrum in between.. there is enough room for everyone.. target is to be the full spectrum?!
