In the past two days I've run into two apps that require a pfp to create an account. Both times I've bailed out on onboarding. Why would anyone risk funnel leakage for such a seemingly unimportant reason? There's a bazillion ways to nudge users to update their pfp later. What am I missing here?

Related: If I had a better idea what I was trying to sign up for maybe I'd have gone through with it. But in crypto/web3 we seem to have a huge issue that. Like right now I have to install/preview a frame to see what it's about. A lot of them require some sort of account set up or onboarding. dApps do this too, why?
