Big week for #DeSci! I've been in the DeSci space for 3 years, but I’ve never seen this much buzz. What's happening? 🧵 👇 1. Binance Labs announced a major investment into Bio Protocol. 2️. @vitalik.eth and CZ joined the DeSci meetup in Bangkok. 3️. The Bio Protocol Genesis round just closed, securing an impressive $35.13M for the ecosystem. 🌍💡 This takes me back to 2 months ago when I had the privilege to speak on the Web3 Lagos Conference's stage organized by Web3bridge about "DeSci: Web3 and the Future of Scientific Collaboration." This year I built: I was onboarded on base this year by @sir-damilare during the base onchain hackathon and I totally fell in love with the ecosystem. Through this, I was able to build contribute to the ecosystem in various ways. 1. I wrote an article teaching users how to create a token with @apestore which is built on base. This year, I built ✅ Base Africa Sub-Community(Edo Chapter): I created a sub-community for Base Africa(co-assisting @theboiledcorn and @abelosaretin.eth ), which now has 190 members. We onboarded these members to Base(@base )and have hosted various sessions to enhance their understanding of Base and web3 in general. We also provided resources to help them grasp the fundamentals of web3, blockchain technology, and Base specifically. ✅ Content Creation: Through writing, I have onboarded individuals to the Base ecosystem. I also organized a writing class for community members, wrote articles about Base, introduced writers to on-chain writing tools, and supported writers by reviewing their work within the Base Africa telegram community. ✅ Base Learn: I have been actively expanding my knowledge and gaining hands-on experience with smart contract development using the Base Learn documentation.
