Base Colors

Today's puzzle was inspired by /basecolors and @phil ! I love a good color swatch and there's some great ones below but can you guess what type of colors are my favorite? My humble 24 degen to the first solver!

Favorite colors?

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.

For me, each image has 2 colors, 2 common colors. And atleast one of them is from the rainbow so it relates to the rainbow theme.

Certain colors of the rainbow are definitely has a relevant to the solve method.

I kinda get it but I'm not too sure. Is the type 'primary and complementary colors?'

It's a bit tricky. And nah, it ain't guessing. I was going correspondingly with the BG colors and image colors.😄

One last, 'analogous.'

No. I’ve mentioned it a few times but if your answer is guess, then you haven’t solved the puzzle. There is a very clear answer that you’ll see when solved correctly. But I like the colors you mentioned! Haven’t seen anyone else use all of those yet.
