1/ The Variant team had a great time at Farcon 2024! It was awesome to meet and hang out with so many amazing builders and see how the Farcaster ecosystem is taking shape. Here are a few of our main takeaways from the event, and what we think it says about the state of the ecosystem in 2024:

3/ At the client level, competition is heating up, with more founders building apps that cater to diverse user needs and preferences (media-centric to transaction-centric, to others). 4/ One particular functionality that is seeing a lot of attention is transactions: builders are looking to facilitate transactions whether for payments, tipping, minting, or something else, to enhance user engagement and lean into what crypto enables.
