Having sticker shock - childcare is such an issue in this country We have something called universal pre k here so it covers the cost of 15 hours when your kid is 4 (around $500 - 600) Using that credit, and doing a half day (pick up by 12:30) I would still pay $1100 🫠 Cool cool cool

It's so wild these prices. I remember when my son was that age it was SUCH a struggle to pay for childcare so I could work. It's one of the reasons I haven't had more kids even though I'd like to, I just know I'd be struggling all along 😔

Absolutely astronomical especially depending on where you live. When I had both kids in daycare was $4400/month. We wonder why many parents (mostly women) drop out of the workforce or are looking for alternative working options

I feel you Mama. We were convinced that we were waaaay too late to sign our kiddo up for preschool starting September and shocked when we were able to. It’s a bullshit thing to have to be worried about. Then of course, is the god-forsaken price. It’s fkng criminal. 😵💫
