The ETH restaking risk is overblown In history only 226 validators have been slashed out of 524K validators (0.04%) 75 of those came from a single event in February 2021 during a migration Ethereum has enough client diversity that the risk is de minimus

Will people aggressively loop and leverage different LRTs or AVS tokens? Yes Will that create cascading liquidations that can create volatility? Yes Is this actually a pretty small market for this level of degeneracy? Also, yes

My theory is that it will be a nothing burger. Bunch of the TVL will flee once the token drops. Then all the AVSs will pay rewards in their own tokens which will be expensive to harvest and dump

Except patient users can just wait for redemption at 1:1. I don't see a death spiral being an issue. Slashing will surely cause depegs among the LRTs but I imagine a healthy arb market will develop between restaked eth, staked, and unstaked eth

There are too many LRT protocols now and some of them are having high TVL even without audited contracts.
