Terry Gilliam announced his latest picture this month, "The Carnival at the End of Days." However, I wonder if it'll top my favorite movie of his, "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" (1988) It is based upon the 18th century fictional character Baron Munchausen, who was known for his tall tales. This movie eloquently captures tall tales and is set in the 18th century during "Age of Reason" where nobody believes the nobleman. Think Don Quioxte but far more entertaining and a star studded cast. Including; John Neville, Eric Idle, Robin Williams, and Uma Thurman in her 3rd film. It has great reviews, but was a box office bomb costing Columbia Pictures $38m.
