“Ownership” of one’s Web 3.0 data is really talking about: 1) The symmetrical custody and ownership of aggregated blockchain data rather than asymmetrical ownership of aggregated Web 2.0 cloud data 2) The public surfacing of operational mechanisms insofar as they are blockchain contract transactions rather than private-sector intellectual property 3) Ownership simultaneity of blockchain nodes (numerous distributed owners) that store data rather than ownership singularity

Let me tell you something Ive seen on Farcaster several times, but it has been wrongly stated: AGI will not be a single entity like a human or a simple bot on a single server; rather, it will be a networked intelligence spread across millions of machines worldwide. We can already see this trend in today’s large language models, such as GPT-4, which was trained on 25,000 GPUs and performs inference across 128 GPUs. As a side note, blockchains are not as immutable or permanent as often claimed. For example, Ethereum blobs are deleted every 18 days, and with initiatives like EIP-4444 and The Purge, more of Ethereum will rely on non-blockchain peer-to-peer solutions like Bittorrent or Portal Network. The only unique feature of blockchains is their ability to achieve strict global consensus in near real-time. However, with the advent of AGI, this capability becomes less relevant. AGIs can trivially achieve strict global consensus and even surpass it to reach more complex and subjective forms of consensus.

Protip: you can come in to Brussels through Amsterdam. Passport control line in AMS is negligible (at least at 5AM, though I'm sure it's not too bad at other times either), and it's only a 2h train ride straight from the AMS airport to Brussels.

The United States SEC has delayed the launch of spot Ethereum ETFs, which individuals expected to happen by 4 July. Consequently, the regulator returned S-1 Ethereum ETF forms to all applicants. Issuers have until 8 July to resubmit their filing. The SEC needs more time to review the applications, postponing the launch timeframe to mid-July or later. The delay could yield Fear Doubt and Uncertainty (FUD) in the Ethereum ecosystem in the coming week. Nevertheless, SEC chairman Gary Gensler assured smooth progress in the Ethereum exchange-traded fund approval process. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas believes the SEC will begin working on the S-1 forms on 8 July before approval comes next.
