Hey /skincare! I just moved to a much dryer climate and my skin is, well, much dryer. My face in particular just seems to dry out like 10 minutes after applying lotion. What’s a gal to do that preferably won’t break the bank or take a ton of time? (Low spoons gal)

Highly highly recommend a hydrating cleanser, this is affordable with good ingredients https://nudieglow.com/collections/skin-type-dry/products/pyunkang-yul-cleansing-foam And you need a good thick moisturiser, I love Weledas ‘Skin Food’ which has saved my skin in the winter

My HOLY grain for hydration is the cosrx snail 96 essence. Two pumps after cleansing and before your moisturiser / sunscreen! also check what lotion you’re using — if it’s cold where you are you might need heavier thicker moisturiser. I typically go for cerave moisturising cream during Scottish winters

I live & die by Evanhealy’s rose line 🌹 They have a travel kit that’s not a bad entry point & is often on sale. Usually lasts me a month or so. Their oil cleanser has helped me with dryness in colder seasons too. https://www.evanhealy.com/products/rose-face-care-kit-balancing?variant=41225140011101

Hi! A dry climate will dehydrate your skin, this is diff than dry skin (which is a skin type). Dehydrated skin loves things like glycerin (there is a newer brand called Prequel that makes a great affordable glycerin cleanser).

For night time I use pure coconut oil - it's real cheap, you can use the stuff they sell in the supermarkets for cooking with! I put it on top of my night moisturiser and it keeps me lovely and hydrated all night long. It looks a bit too shiny for day time use, unless you love the dewy look!

Cerave facial moisturizing lotion PM and they have a day cream with SPF as well. I also recommend the ordinary company multipeptide serum all should be pretty inexpensive
