Somewhat disagree. I have so much more respect for a leader who understands that change is not a necessary ingredient for impact. I would rather a VP who says “I’m forming / have opinions but I’m here to learn what has worked and what hasn’t worked in the recent past”

Wouldn’t the fact, a VP comes in and does this, if not done previously, make it a non-critical change? If done previously, I doubt the VP would have left or been replaced. If it had, the mere face-value of pulling you into meetings with a different name on the calendar makes it a non-crit change.
