Reading https://ai-2027.com/ makes me think we will soon be able to train ai models the same way we train our children. By telling them how to improve and letting them go out and improve. Instead of needing to code, and structure hardware and software in a certain way, we simply provide the instruction "improve your reading", "improve your math", "improve space travel". (compute is a bottleneck) Almost seems like we're moving backwards in time. I guess it all depends where humans came from. If you subscribe to the idea that we were engineered somehow, vs evolved, I guess history rhymes. Either way, we are unquestionably moving into a direction of Transcendence. The AI Revolution is just beginning and I think it's only going to be possible because it'll have blockchains as a lever. I know I may sound bias but the positioning for Farcaster here is wickedly good too. Just think about what AI can do with a sufficiently decentralize social network with human managed wallets connected.

Another related thought, today I spoke to a 22yo computer science major and I asked him about how he uses AI and his response shocked me. He said current limitations were very limited and he doesn't think they could do much. This was said with a somewhat strong conviction and I would say he's a fairly well educated 22yo still in university. A lot of normal people I meet today are completely clueless on where we are as a global society in technology. They barely know how to use their phones beyond 20% of it's capacity (a claim I make). This tells me have we a long way to go for the general population to adopt, or we will go through a massive shock soon that will immediately restructure the building blocks of society. If history repeats we will "muddle along" for a while before AI is really a thing that impacts society. But my bet is on the "shock and awe" campaign. My bets on

we'll need to be able to describe what improvement is. over a thousand years of philosophical inquiry into the meaning of the good life has been ... inconclusive on that count
