Forgive the finickiness of my mind. Who has tl;dr flows for using Obsidian? (most important needs) - daily notes page (how do you use it) - thought structures (folder or file setup) - referencing or backlinks (how do you use it) cc: @kepano @laura

If you think any of the answers are "exactly like Roam" feel free to use that answer. This is a clearly a "I'm in new environment" so I think I shouldn't think the same state.

I use the following note types in Obsidian: - Daily notes - Quick capture notes (zettel format) - Evergreen notes - Clippings from web clipper - Reference notes (people, places, books, movies, concepts) Try to be mostly folderless, except for meta stuff like templates

Highly recommend Logseq if you are accustomed to Roam before. And if there are specific things in Obsidian you’re after, it’s possible to make them work together. See here: https://hub.logseq.com/integrations/aV9AgETypcPcf8avYcHXQT/how-to-use-obsidian-and-logseq-together-and-why-markdown-matters/1rqp92wgow7wGXS37Ck

zettels + andy matuschak's evergreen notes - different folders for fleeting, reference, and evergreen notes. [fleeting notes are basically notes that i need to develop] - index files (maps of content) instead of tags to track major topics. - tags used for status. eg: #understood, #review etc.

I started using a light version of zettelkasten, mostly for research. I have folders for references, fleeting notes and permanent notes, which I rewrite in my own words.
