People will never tell you the thing you need to hear. People will always tell you the thing you don’t need to hear.

This is somehow a backwards take, and it won't help you with anything. The world is full of noise. It is on you to realize where the signal is based on the context that you try to optimize for. People will read this cast thinking this is not what they need to hear. Not realizing that they once again shoot the messenger. https://github.com/xh3b4sd/content/blob/master/philosophy/2024/0001308

This is much less a take and more an observation in many conversations I’ve seen and had. Have you done product feedback meetings? I strongly agree with your second point too. Which is what makes the original post even more relevant because when someone tells you something you need to extract the “did they tell me the signal or the noise”.
