Trying something new. I’ve been living in upstate NY with my family, in a 600 person farm town. AMA for 24-hours. Anything, politics, fashion, nomad, family, work, farm, creators, tech, etc. I’ll respond with what I’ve learned from here.

Do you bump into the same people over and over again, and has it made you create connections/rapport with strangers that you otherwise wouldn’t in a big city?

Yes. No, the conversations in small towns are very much wrapped in insecurities I’ve felt. Making null the trade off between “knowing” everyone and knowing no-one. The family business feel does give it the cool connection/rapport. At individual level, much is left desired.
