Something I love comparing is how similar it feels to develop software and develop a house. For example, if you're not someone that has a lot of tools in your home, the amount of time you spend searching for things to build, or diy, eats away all of your time and before you know it all you have is a couple 2x4s nailed together and you barely got anything done. This is very similar to software development.
