Use-cases are different imo, also trajectories are different. Urbit is a purist solution to an impractical world. Ethereum is a tourist solution to an impractical world, making it a purist solution for practical world.

(google xanadu) yes. That. I like their principles. Believed early they’ll be pigeonholed, or niche. I think the community has great ideas too. Just too hard to build anything from ground up very removed from current life, hard to gain non-niche adoption. Hoon, syntax, is cool though!
