Meme-coins. Content-coins. App-coins. Stable-coins. It’s all just tokenization: the biggest monetization upgrade coming to the internet. Today’s internet revenue flow is limited: - Users pay app devs for digital goods/subs - Users pay creators, apps take a cut But apps and creators don’t succeed without communities (mods, superfans, sharers) who get nothing. Tokenization changes everything: any participant can be rewarded, splitting revenue across the network. Instead of paying ad networks to acquire users, tokenized products can reward users directly to engage. This isn’t just crypto hype. It’s the foundation for the next generation of creator and app economies.

It’s hard to predict how quickly we get there but when we do it’ll happen very fast. Traditional monetization is redlined. There’s not a lot of optimization to squeeze out. Does feel like the model needs to change now.

yeah I agree with this but I'm closing in on the opinion that it doesn't matter that much right now because people are still too stuck in the old world of things. The only way to shift world views is (1) over a long time (2) over a short very abrupt time. So you either have to believe we are 1 or 2, but we can't be in the middle.

From an internet product sense we’re definitely in the 1 bucket, very few teams seem to look at this tech and think of it as useful for them. There’s many reasons why but that’s where we are now. However theres many interesting founders who have built great products in previous industries that are now in crypto because they see this. That’s the signal that’s most exciting for me.
