I am practicing Beethoven Waldstein sonata, final parts of first movement. Lightness of being, triumph over destiny itself. Beethoven in his most heroic. I love this piece. I am not ready to live stream yet but sharing a little bit here nevertheless, sharing the process

Would be handy if you had a page turner 😅 I think you should live stream the work in progress. Could help as practice with an audience. How often and where do you stream? Beethoven's later works are truly a challenge, not technically but spiritually and character wise too. Always wanted to play the Appassionata. Someday.

Hahah yes, a major mess up was at the turning of that page so I stopped the video. I used to live stream a lot on Twitter live/persicope then they stopped it and I have been free floating, sporadically streaming on any of the networks, will try @streamm here in a day or two. Appassionata I recorded professionally many years ago. Super fascinating piece. Now I am with waldstein and last sonata. You are so right, for last sonata op.111 I really need to see more of the world both internally and externally. Would love to hear your playing. What are you working on these days?

I'll keep an eye! I've been away from playing for a long while, since I changed my career, but studied professionally. One of the last pieces I played were Beethoven's 31st sonata and some Scriabin. 4th sonata which I absolutely love 🤩 Ah! I'd love to hear Appassionata! Do you have any albums on Spotify or elsewhere? My main forte is improvisation in diverse styles from the common period practice, jazz, modern, etc. I can share an impressionist one I've made a few years ago.

I couldn’t improvise if someone pointed a gun to my head. Just impossibility in any reality. Here is one ancient version, not sure where is the later (better piano version) I am extremely disorganized https://soundcloud.com/irina-klyuev/beethoven-sonata-appassiona

This is so inspiring, thanks for sharing. Water of all things! I have a thing with water but can’t share publicly yet. I love the improvisation and visualization. A lot of structure and yet very Debussy like or Ravelian. So glad FC connected us

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Would love to hear when it's public! A Ravel piece I'd love to learn too is Jeux d'eau. I just have the time to listen and not play and study anymore. Yes, it's great! First pianist I've ever met here
