An argument backed by stats, history, or some other facts…. is still just an argument… designed to convince you to think a certain way, using facts as its weaponry. An argument made with facts may make it more convincing, but not necessarily “true.” “True” does a lot of heavy lifting here, but just want to illustrate that arguments are just tools to convince people and stats are simply a weapon in the arsenal.
