I'm curious to understand the stake from home landscape on Farcaster. I understand it on twitter, but there's a different vibe here. Probably more knowledgeable and engaged user base. Do you stake your own Ether at home? Why or why not? What could convince you to do it? https://stakefromhome.com/

Not enough ETH. I'll likely never have enough tbh, as I wouldn't be comfortable staking more than 25% of my ETH. It also still seems risky af

Thanks for the response! You're wise and I agree that it's not wise to stake the majority of your Ether. Staking is right for some people, but not for everyone. Let me know if you decide to give it a go.. Right now you could stake on Rocket Pool with 10.4 Ether, soon on Diva with as little as 1 Ether.

What are the risks if running a minority client? Isn't is wise to stake? Otherwise you are hurt by inflation? The risks I know are setup risk that due to overcomplication, brings up a validator 2 times and gets you slashed. It's not hard to avoid.

Solo Staking is low risk, but I never encourage people to put all of their eggs in one basket. There ARE risks to solo staking, and even if I feel like they're minimal, we're terrible at assessing risk. I don't buy the "hurt by inflation" argument, Eth is deflationary. 🤷‍♂️

Perhaps inflation is not the right word? I don't know how to phrase it. Stakers essentially get an APR on their ETH and you would not so that puts you at a disadvantage? Not sure if staking inflation is the right word.

Sure, you're right. Staking makes sense to me and I want people who understand what it is to do it, but I'm never going to push people toward it. Staking is a job to secure the network, not just free money.
