This is dangerous precedent. We should not normalize invasions and gaslight the invaded.

What’s the gaslighting specifically? I’m by no means an authority on this topic, and ChatGPT is wrong all the time, but it does seem like elections have been suspended and freedom of press curtailed

In many countries, including Ukraine and the UK elections during time of war elections are suspended and a war-time government or coalition is formed. Famously this is how Churchill stayed in power during the entire duration of the second world war through their war time coalition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill_war_ministry The freedom of the press is not curtailed in Ukraine. Naturally there are certain challenges with journalism and reporting when your are being invaded, your people killed and your cities bombed on a daily basis. But taking those as curtailing freedom of the press is a really privileged thing to say from Musk's perspective. Someone who sours the moment anybody criticizes him or does not agree with him. All in all it's sad and alarming because this is exactly Kremlin's propaganda that is being parroted by the richest man in the world and by the sitting president and his administration. Frankly it's scary.
