my understanding is that it's like US Powerball, there's daily drawings (powerball is weekly) but unless they sell a huge number of tickets there's still not likely to be a winner, so the pot rolls forward to the next day

that's correct! we have a daily drawing, but the jackpot has just grown so much faster than ticket sales. we 500-1500 tickets the last few days, or up to $1500 in sales. since the jackpot is so big, the odds to win are 1 in 1.2M, so there's a 0.05% chance or lower for a player to hit the jackpot these low odds are similar to the powerball, and both of ours will roll over if no one wins

i checked my math and retract this statement, at 70% EV per ticket it's actually much better for the players than powerball and comperable to most scratchoff ticket games π
