it really isn't "oh my god the food in Europe is so good" it is "the food in America is so bad" what's even more insane is how this "healthy food premium" is de facto accepted by people in the US instead of pushing for a change at the incentive level. same with insurance & healthcare, but even larger incentive there

our food is broken, our healthcare is broken, our housing market is broken, our transportation is broken, our lobbying is broken, our defense sector is broken, our elections are broken it's not "insane" that US citz defacto accept all this; we are taught that these things are somehow better, we vote for *more* of them
