As a parent of small children in a place that gets very hot this time of year I have one repeating thought: 

Fuck summer, fuck the sun, can't wait until it collapses on itself and becomes a black hole. Worst season of the year by far.

Yeah wife and I were joking to take them out at 6am to try and beat some of the heat.

Yeah power outages would be deadly. 

I just get a bad case of cabin fever, not being able to get the kids out to a park or go on a walk to burn off some energy/time is just brutal.
