If newborn’s bassinet is in your bedroom, how does your partner manage sleep?

Right now we have the bassinet in the baby room and there is also a bed for an adult to sleep there. Whoever is looking after the baby can use that. 

Wondering if we should move the bassinet to our bedroom. We do miss having him by the bed side sometimes

Sound machine during night sleep is clutch tbh. Baby will get used to it and after they’re like a month old they won’t react as much to quiet noises like dog shakes, door opens, etc.
