Where are the stars?! — conspiracy theorists like to ask when they don’t see them in pictures of the Moon and Earth from space. And here they are. They can be easily photographed when there is no bright daylight side of the Earth or the Moon in the frame, which overexpose the image and prevent the capture of much dimmer stars in one picture. In this photo, only the dimly lit parts of the ISS and the Milky Way in the background are visible.
