There is a proverb that says "blood is thicker than water" and surprisingly, it doesn't mean that family bonds are stronger In fact, the original proverb is "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb", and actually means that blood shed in battle bonds soldiers more strongly than simple genetics So, in the end, the relationships you build are the ones that matter. With, or without family members. Don't forget this. Love is earned, not coerced.

Thank you. Yes!!!. I’d always felt this was true, and to have it unpacked as actually meaning this inversion of the “on face value” meaning is golden.

Okay so it adds the opposite, but I would like to add, as someone that has have two emergency c-sections, the water of the womb is definitely mixed with the blood of battle. 100 $WILD
