The forms themselves aren’t the secret sauce. Knowing what, when, and how to deviate from the forms is what lawyers (should) get paid for.

Totally agree. Adding to that, I think it’s also knowing when you DON’T need to deviate. Clients aren’t paying us to lawyer things to death. They’re paying to get a deal done with the risks either being mitigated or at least known & accepted
