Usually you‘re right, these LM/Social Mining token distributions are more expensive than growing the project „organically“ and attract certain opportunistic stakeholders, not the users you wish for.

It works though in regards to getting attention, temporary high mcaps & incentives for people to get engaged. (100 projects running it on Farcaster might help warpcast..)

Sometimes firstmovers even have worthwhile underlying ideas.

However, the projects running the same playbooks get worse and ultimately the only thing remaining is a shorter & shorter money game.

Yeah - first movers in new concepts tend to be the only winners. 

I like the social mining idea but there’s definitely thought missing to the liquidity and functionality. At present, we simply have tokens for tokens sake. 

I’m curious to see if Fan Tokens can actually drive Moxie value.
