seems like most projects are made for techy people, but if those are features inside an app, like a wallet, people will use them. DeFi projects that have been around for some time are safe to use

on that, Argent was a good example (didn't use it for a year now, so dunno current status)

They gave up on easy to use defi and pivoted to Starknet grants.
