NextDNS 🤔 https://nextdns.io/ Why would someone pay $1.99/month for this? What am I missing here?

I ran a Pihole for a few years and switched to NextDNS - paying $2/mo for convenience, easy to use profile for mobile and pretty much no maintenance once you set your lists up. I ended up fiddling with my Pi-Hole a lot, so maybe it was user error. I prefer NextDNS.

Thanks. That’s a good perspective. I’m always trying to optimize for not fiddling, but DNS feels like one of those things that might be worth it. Haven’t made up my mind yet.

Yeah - before pihole (and I guess with) I always ran Cloudflare (unbound setup w/ the pihole). Easy DoT is really nice too… NextDNS seemingly just works for me (and partner) - I don't get ads on pretty much anything & feel comfy blocking lots of telemetry. I also have a lot of IoT devices.
