Coming from the trad VC world, I'm curious how you deal with investment hypotheses

Like we had hypotheses regarding narratives/trends we expected within the next 5years

Do you also have some mid-term hypotheses or do you make your investments mainly based on short-term hypotheses (expectatuons for the next 1/2years)?

Depending on stage - aren’t you making bets on a much longer time horizon?

you probably don’t think about liquidity enough // it is what it is  // build value, not valuation

For a new fund you can assume an investment phase of 5ys and and upcoming divestment phase of another 5ys so your hypotheses should play out in 5 (for the last funded startups of the vintage) to 10 years (if we assume to invest at day zero of the fund while the exit is on the last day of the fund)
