The combination of Rust, RISC-V, LLVM, and ZK is extraordinarily powerful and will have a big impact on the future of computing. It's nuanced and I think most people haven't figured this out yet, but smart folks are starting to wake up to it.

Wasm was never a great choice for blockchains or for deterministic and verifiable computing use cases more generally - and I say this as someone who worked on a Wasm-based VM and was very excited about it for years. RISC-V is better along every dimension I can think of.

There's a LOT of sunk investment in Wasm so it'll take time for people to get over their biases and see that RISC-V is a better choice but that trend has definitely begun. It blows my mind that there are already three projects that do efficient succinct proofs for arbitrary Rust code compiled to RISC-V.
