I’m curious what people’s ‘ah-ha’ I’m queer moment was? I actually assumed I was incapable of loving someone romantically for a while before I realized I was actually just gay 😅 I was so socially conditioned to assume I liked guys that I never even questioned it - until the actual moment I realized

big compulsory heterosexuality energy! my first a-ha moment was when my bf at the time befriended a lesbian at work, and I would hang out with her and her gf and be so utterly fascinated by them. Then I found an article on autostraddle about bisexuality (it was 2013) and realised that was an option!

7 years later during 2020 I actually learned about comp het and started to see all the ways in which it manifested in my life. I was in a 6 year relationship with a man at the time but it never quite felt right. 6 months after that I had met and moved to Scotland to be with my gf, now wife 🥹
