this actually is the Rideau Canal! We’re very lucky and live right in front of it. So very convenient for us to walk on 😂. they clear it before they clear the sidewalks apparently 

I highly recommend checking it out. I love seeing so many people outside skating - the beaver tails and hot chocolate help. 

We’ve seen people wind sailing on their skates early in the am which is next level

For when you do come - if you don’t skate a lot my suggested mindset framing is this - the first 10 mins are hard and you’re like WTF how is this fun, then after that it’s child like excitement and joy. Followed by the post exercise endorphins. If you’re used to skating though it’s just fun lol
