I'm getting my first brand new set of clubs! 🙌 
I don't need a full bag. What are your recommended must haves woods and irons?

A good 9 club starter set up:

Driver
4 hybrid or 5 wood.
6, 7, 8, 9 iron
Pitching wedge, sand wedge
Putter

12-14 clubs not needed when getting started.
Could even go to 7 clubs by ditching the odd irons so: 6, 8, pw, sw.

costco sells a Callaway box set for women that’s $539. 10 club set. very good value, spotted in stock at costco in culver city yesterday lol

no prob! I've prescribed the same set to half a dozen friends new to golf, they all love it... plus if you grow outta it, want something else -  costco return policy = undefeated.

I’ve hit a 5 hybrid that I really liked and a 3 wood. Thanks for the recs!
