Imgur is used for farcaster and for threads because S3 wasn't being rendered properly on Warpacast(because Warpacast can't render many media types) and Meta had issues downloading form S3. For Lens we use S3 and for Twitter and Bsky their API. I must admit that imgur has some limitations around uploading size and image lifetime.
