Re: People on Farcaster Calling Me "Ma'am" or "mam" I am from Boston. We call people "Ma'am" for two reasons; 1.) the lady in question is actually over the age of 80, and we are being polite 2.) we want to say "Calm your tits, you fucking textbook Karen" but we are at work, so we say "Ma'am" super sarcastically instead. I know it's cultural. I know it's likely a play on "ser", but it always rubs me the wrong way. 🤣
