Francisco Goya’s “Saturn Devouring His Son” has haunted my psyche for over a decade. Saturn, the planet, is often associated with chaos, and in Goya’s vision, that chaos becomes grotesquely personal_ a father consumed by fear and selfishness, devouring his own child. But I often wonder: what if it were the Mother of Saturn instead? I just know she wouldn’t be tearing into anyone like that. Maybe, like Vivienne Westwood, she’d nurture the chaos, style it, mold it. Her madness would manifest differently. quieter, maybe heavier… but not so violently. Not like that.

I love love this The Mother of Saturn wouldn’t unleash her chaos all at once. Instead it would be fierce, unfolding slowly and elegantly. It would bloom (I think this is the best word for the imagery I have in my head)
