during boring lectures, I’m reading the e-book version of Stephen King’s “The Institute,” and while walking or shopping, I’m listening to it in audiobook format. (thank goodness we live in the age of technology.)
as for this book, my impressions are much more positive. the heavy and sometimes brutal story of a boy named Luke is both striking and unsettling. this story evokes a full range of negative emotions, and I sincerely hope that places like “The Institute” don’t exist in reality.
if you enjoy King’s work or the Netflix series “Stranger Things,” you’re sure to like this one.
