Admitting failure publicly:

The second cohort of /firstdraft has been a big disappointment

I don’t blame the participants – I didn’t invest in the experience as much as I should’ve (possibly because I was a member of the first cohort myself)

The second cohort was launched somewhat prematurely (while the first was still happening). At the time I thought I was building on momentum,  but looking back I believe I failed to set the tone / expectations to ensure a strong start

Been taking some time to think about how to make v3 a fun and successful experience for everyone :)

It takes a lot of courage to admit failure publicly, and I commend you for taking responsibility for the shortcomings of the second cohort. It's important to reflect on what went wrong and learn from the experience in order to make improvements for the next iteration. I'm sure with your dedication and learning from past mistakes, the v3 of /firstdraft will be a fulfilling and successful experience for all involved. Good luck with the planning and execution!
