Ideally you'd like to integrate with everything, but unfortunately Twitter are increasingly hostile with their attitude to APIs and I'm not at all upset with this change

I'm building #StarSailors which is a gamified tool that integrates my own projects plus Zooniverse, SciStarer, etc It's free and open source and I'm constantly looking for new projects to integrate and people to work with https://starsailors.space

Definitely prefer it to Asana, Asana / Monday / Clickup seem to be made towards HR/content creators, not towards devs Linear is a better product if you only care about tracking tickets, but the way Jira integrates w/ Confluence is really useful for me Identify the actual pain points you have before migrating.

I just started as well, I was hesitant coming from notion, but I made the decision to move because of the vast quantity of plugins available. Obsidian links in with Jira, GitHub, pretty much any tool required, and it has an extensive API No advice as I'm still new to it too, but I think it's a good decision to migrate

5/5 I think that as long as you can reasonably control scientific misinformation and hate speech, your corner of the internet and the subsequent protocols will flourish Algos may be used incorrectly now, but in regards to "censorship" it's much preferable to a perceived human bias Hate speech is hate speech. ♥️

4/ it's also quite amusing to me that this was all kick-started by Twitter and Reddit undergoing a massive overhaul in the last 9 months with regards to how users are treated and valued. Now it seems that decentralisation is in, and we're going back to the way the internet was before, with instances verses platforms

3/ I do think that Eth is a defacto standard for connecting accounts/instances across multiple social graphs/protocols, however provided it's built on open source tech, people have the freedom to choose what they use and add to their instances/corner of the internet

2/ I'm actually really intrigued by Instagram threads and how it's going to be built on the same protocols as Mastodon. The Vergecast did a really good episode on it last weekend. Will definitely be using both alongside Farcaster

Just been using the new Wikit app for Android. I must say that I love their approach to moderation and decentralisation, however the user experience and design language/philosophy is antiquated and ugly. I am worried that protocols like Wikit will be too ugly and confusing and that will push people towards Insta/Meta

The great thing about Farcaster, just like any other federated network, is you can have all sorts of discussions and groups/forums on the one network, but only see what is relevant to you by joining servers/apps that serve that niche. For the tech to grow, it needs more users, and these users need to build on the tech

This works really well for my team, as we use Super.so to display our docs publicly; if we could have our internal notes on a custom domain as well, it would be great!

Been having issues with push notifications on the android app (running on Nothing Phone 1). Not getting notified about direct messages even though it's toggled on in the settings. Am I missing something?

The beauty of web3 is anyone can host anything anywhere, and we can build on top of existing protocols to get what we want. In the future I may build FC protocol into my client. I certainly am building stuff that will rely on something like FC in the future, and I'm excited about its direction.

What I mean is that on FC it's organised around posts and social media, so it's sort of hard to create a feed of articles that include thinks like connected Jupyter notebooks & datasets. LP has custom modules to enable this Having said that, I am not saying FC is bad, just right now LP is better designed for MY client
