people say AI will create new opportunities/jobs in replace of the old ones like previous industrial revolutions meanwhile Cursor crushed thousands of jobs (SWE job demand down 40% in 2 years), became the fastest company to $1B ARR, and created *checks notes* 12 jobs??

Right but the fact that it encourages a lot of people to get into coding and experiment and build things is pretty amazing. I'm optimistic of where things are going.
