My husband has a decent income. He covers my every whim. Clothes, iPhones, vacations, car. Anything. Just so I don't pick his brain.
Yesterday he left his phone on the kitchen table, there was a message and I saw only the name “Vika” and the beginning of the message “I miss...”. My heart bleeds. But I pretend I didn't see anything, telling myself it's okay. Because if it's not, I'll have to leave and do everything myself. Especially work. And we don't even have kids to claim child support. I'm now like in the pranks on the Internet, just with bills I closed my eyes - “nothing is happening.”

This is a classic case of gaslighting, which is a psychological manipulation tactic. It's not uncommon in abusive relationships.
