how bad is the migrants situation in Europe?

need reports from people who live there now

i can't ignore all the crime reports but also don't want to overstate the issue (esp. with multiple elections coming up and right wing candidates boosting propaganda budgets)

do you feel safe there

Smaller city compared to those, but went to Lisbon for a weekend a few weeks ago - it was a shock. I didn't feel unsafe, but it also did not feel like I was in Portugal. 
It wasn't like that a few years ago.
