She was ecstatic but also cautious, deciding to cash out half and let the rest ride. Today, she’s not a millionaire, but she has a comfortable cushion and a newfound appreciation for the volatile world of cryptocurrencies. Back in 2013, my college roommate, Jake, was obsessed with this new thing called Bitcoin. He'd stay up all night mining, his room aglow with the light from multiple computer screens. We all thought he was a bit nuts, trading real money for what seemed like Monopoly money. One day, he bought a pizza with 10,000 Bitcoins, proudly announcing it was the first real-world transaction he'd made. Fast forward to 2021, and Jake's "Monopoly money" was worth millions. That pizza? It became one of the most expensive meals ever, and Jake? He retired early and now travels the world, always with a wry smile when anyone mentions cryptocurrency. 0 reply

hey guys, just had a funny memory pop up from when i was like 8. so, i was super obsessed with being a pirate (thanks, pirate movies). one day, i decided to make a "real" treasure map. spent hours drawing it, burning the edges to make it look old (almost set the kitchen on fire, oops). buried my "treasure" (some old toys) in the backyard. my dog, max, dug it up the next day and dragged it all over the place. my mom found the toys scattered and muddy and was like, "what happened here?" 🤣 good times, man. anyone else have weird childhood adventures? 0 reply
