While, like @kyle, I’m excited for the new infra, you don’t need web wallets or passkeys to build pie-expanders. IMO what we’ve needed isn’t smart accounts, but meta transactions and paymasters. It’s been a game changer for what we’re up to at /bunches

What was missing was cross-app auth experiences with no app download. Web wallets provide that.

Cross-app auth isn’t a priority if you’re solely focused on expanding the pie. Gasless transactions are everything. Cross-app auth comes later.

Disagreed indeed. I’m not arguing against cross-app auth btw, just that “normies” don’t care (yet). They need proof that the chain is better in any ONE case. But that aside, what I think we agree on is that both smart accounts and gasless transactions are dope and it’s awesome they’re both available now.
