What’s the TLDR on Canadian election tabulation? Are results quick? 👀

Votes casted on paper ballots. Votes are counted by hand, no electronic tabulation or voting machines. Once polls close (the majority of them just closed) votes are counted immediately. We should have majority of results and a good idea of winner in the next 3-4 hours from now.

Nope! We don’t vote for our prime minister. We vote for members parliament, who represent our riding(voting district). Whoever has most members elected across the country wins government.
